The official release date for the 2016 Nike Mag has been announced.
It’s been almost 30 years since Michael J. Fox first laced up what can be arguably seen as Nike’s most iconic shoe in the brand’s history. Now, the shoes will be made available via an online draw with proceeds going to the Michael J. Fox Foundation to raise awareness for Parkinson’s disease.
The first time the Nike Mag release was back in 2011, but the unique ‘self-lacing’ feature was absent. Now, Nike has once again delivered on this updated version which utilises ‘Adaptive Fit’. This new technology was debuted last year on another of Nike’s silhouette which goes by the name of HyperAdapt 1.0 which are also set to be made available later this year.
The 2016 Nike Mag will only be limited to 89 pairs with those living in the U.S. and Canada eligible to enter through the live draw. Tickets for the raffle cost $10 with no limit on how many can be be purchased. All proceeds will go towards The Michael J, Fox Foundation.
The draw officially starts on October 4, 2016 and will finish on October 11. All winners will be announced on October 17.
