Gorillaz are back in the studio, at least according to the animated band’s co-creator Jaime Hewlett.
Earlier today, Hewlett shared a video on Instagram, featuring himself with Gorillaz frontman Damon Albarn—both hard at work on recording the follow-up to their 2011 album, The Fall.
Hewlett confirmed plans for the Gorillaz fifth full-length studio album in an interview with NME, last October, in which he said “2016 is going to be Gorillaz all year.”
Fans are certainly excited to see the return of their favorite animated rockers—2D, Noodle, Murdoc Niccals and Russel Hobbs—as they eagerly await the new album.
Hewlett has also shared several of his latest artwork of the band. To see the videos and the latest artwork of the band visit http://instagram.com/hewll
