Supreme’s Collaboration With The North Face Shows Continued Power in Industry

Here are some clothes you didn’t even know existed half a day ago. Now you want to spend all your hard earned money on it. That’s how this collaboration works.

But for this season Supreme didn’t announce the collaboration until around 11 hours before it drops, why? Well they would probably say it was to try and reduce the hype and stop people camping out. If they don’t know what’s dropping then they won’t camp, right?

Actually, Supreme has showed how powerful the brand really has become over the last two decades. People were queuing at the store from last night for items they didn’t even know existed. The way that Supreme withheld the launch information meant that actually the collaboration was even more hyped than usual; because people didn’t even know if it was happening.

On to the collection. The products look great and after the ‘By Any Means Necessary’ collection of last season, it is nice to see the collaboration go in a completely different direction and use ‘Steep Tech’, a technology that is often ignored and overlooked. The collection consists of a waterproof, abrasion-resistant nylon Steep Tech Hooded Jacket, Steep Tech Hooded Sweatshirt, Steep Tech Sweatpant and backpack.
