Everything Happening On Air Max Day 2016

Today marks another year of Air Max and another Air Max Day.

If you aren’t aware of Air Max Day or are unsure on what it is, it is celebrated on March 26 in honor of the first Air Max release all the way back on March 26, 1987. Air Max Day usually brings us new sneakers, so what can we expect this year?

Well for a start we will be seeing the results of the Air Max Vote Back campaign that started just over a week ago. The voting closed yesterday and the results will have been published by the time you read this so be sure to head over to Nike to find out which Air Max came out on top.

Marketed as ‘the one before the 1’, Nike are trying to get some hype behind the shoe but a lot of people, like myself, just aren’t buying it. It is generally uninspiring and if last years color way is anything to go by, it won’t be a hit. Luckily it doesn’t look like the Air Max Zero will have won the Vote Back Campaign as it definitely doesn’t need an OG re-release.

Lastly, Nike will probably re-release some other sneakers as they often do for big events like Air Max Day. Due to release today are the NikeLab Air Max 1 Royal, Air Max BW OG, Air Max 90 Ultra Superfly, Air Max Ultra M and finally the Air Max LD-Zero H. That’s a lot of Air Max.

Keep your eye out for all the events happening around the world to mark the special day.

Today there is a Boiler Room x Corrupt FM event specially for Air Max Day; no Air Max, no entry. So today looks like it is going to be an Air Max Day to remember; lets just hope it is for the right reasons! Happy Air Max Day!
