#TBT: Supreme x Stone Island

Here at AWM we are all about bringing you, the reader, personalized content.

That begins with content you probably can’t find commonly across other sites. With that being said, we’re running a series called #TBT. For those not familiar, #TBT is representative of Throwback Thursday. The popular hashtag used on social media is meant to represent a picture or post from awhile ago, which you are resurrecting.

We’re twisting it a little differently here.

Every Thursday, AWM will be posting a song, collection, or certain piece (t-shirt, hoodie, sneaker, etc), that might have been forgotten or is just historical and deserves recognition. This week, our second week of the series, will focus on Supreme and Stone Island’s 2015 collaboration.

In lieu of New York skate brand Supreme New York and Italian outwear brand Stone Island teaming up yet again for a Spring/Summer collaboration, we thought we would remind consumers of the collection the two brands collaborated on in 2015.

The collection consisted of a Metal 5C Anorak, a striped long-sleeve t-shirt, and a six-panel hat. The jackets and caps came with a paisley print in two color ways, while the long-sleeve was offered in three color ways.

This upcoming collaboration differs to last years in the sense that more is being doled out by the two brands as they collaborated on a 1/4 zip long sleeve t-shirt, a crusher hat, a PVC duffle bag as well as water resistant and heat-reactive material being added to a lot of the new pieces. The 2016 edition of this collaboration seems to be one of higher quality.

The release for the Supreme x Stone Island S/S 16 collaboration is set for March 17 and will be available on Supreme’s website at 11 a.m. (ET or GMT). This marks Supreme’s first clothing collaboration of the Spring/Summer season.
