Flatbush Zombies Release Debut Album “3001”

After months of build up, Brooklyn rap group Flatbush Zombies have released their debut album, 3001.

A 12-track album, previously released singles in “Bounce,” & “This Is It,” stand out, while the album itself only contains two features in the form of Anthony Flammia and Diamante.

The album, riddled with drug references and uptempo cadences, contains melodic pianos, guitar leads, and aggressive synths giving a dark background to the already underground themes.

Meechy Darko, Zombie Juice and Erick “The Architech”, the three members of the group, have been churning out music regularly since their arrival, and this culmination of their work is evident of their talent as a group moving forward.

Having grown up in the bustling streetwear and hip-hop melting pot that is New York, and more recently being exposed to the rising streetwear and grime scenes of London, Ankit encompasses the transatlantic culmination of pop culture that AWM preaches. As a co-founder of the site, Ankit's aim is to produce content across all spectrums of hip-hop and fashion.
