Patta Release S/S 16 Lookbook

On March 6, Patta released their Spring/Summer ’16 lookbook and after having some time to browse it, here are some thoughts.

First off, here’s some quick background if you aren’t familiar with Patta; it first opened its doors in Amsterdam in 2004. It didn’t start out focused around its own brand; it actually sold a lot of obscure streetwear and sneakers that you could not normally find in the Netherlands. Fast-forward twelve years and the brand is now synonymous with streetwear and is a main player alongside the likes of Supreme, Palace Skateboards and A Bathing Ape.

But moving on to the lookbook you will not be disappointed. The variety of styles is what makes this lookbook, and most likely this season to come, so great. Alongside some clean logo t-shirts, you can also find some very busy graphic tees and vests that really catch the eye. Meanwhile there are some very nice tracksuits and pieces of outerwear on display.

Personally, my favorite pieces are definitely the basketball shorts and top because of the retro feel and that deep purple that I can’t help but love. This season looks like it is inspired by the late 90s but maintains that great Patta feel that the brand identifies itself with and continues to nurture.

Overall, the lookbook has something for everyone. Whether you are after a nice sweater or an eye catching t-shirt, Patta have everything you could want. As well as a collection that looks great, we can hope to see some collaborations later in the season. Patta is definitely a brand you will want to keep your eye on in 2016.
