Ronnie Fieg x ASICS GT Cool Express – Sterling: Closer Look

Today marks another Ronnie Fieg collaboration with ASICS; a partnership that now spans over a decade.

This latest collaboration piece is on the GT Cool Express silhouette that was first released all the way back in 1992. It was the first time that ASICS released a sneaker with visible Gel technology in the midsole, which is a stark difference to the typical Gel Lyte III, V and Saga that we see ASICS regularly release nowadays.

As Ronnie Fieg often does, he has given the silhouette a material upgrade and added some of his trademark color blocking similar to what he did on the Puma R698 Sakura. This color technique implemented by Ronnie Fieg is very popular and so it is no wonder he chose to utilize it again. It has a sterling toe with salmon inserts, with the rest of the shoe being a subtle beige.

This sneaker drops today at all KITH stores and online at 11am EST.
